The 4th Annual Veterinary Green Discussion Forum: The 21st Century Sustainable Practice
Liverpool, November 14, 2024 – The Webinar Vet is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Veterinary Green Discussion Forum, set to take place from 11-13 June 2025 in the picturesque Montpellier region of Southern France. This highly anticipated event will convene leading voices from the veterinary profession, environmental experts, and dedicated advocates for sustainability. With a backdrop as inspiring as Southern France, attendees will dive into discussions, workshops, and hands-on sessions aimed at driving sustainability within veterinary practices and beyond.
The Veterinary Green Discussion Forum, founded by Anthony Chadwick—veterinary surgeon and pioneer of The Webinar Vet—has evolved into a movement for transformative change. Now in its fourth year, this forum is the premier gathering for professionals dedicated to embedding sustainability into the veterinary industry. After three successful years at nature reserves across the UK, the forum’s expansion to continental Europe marks a milestone in its mission. This event, set to run annually until 2030, promises an immersive experience where everyone participates, united by a shared goal: creating real, actionable change.
In support to this expansion, the Veterinary Green Discussion Forum is glad to announce a partnership with ROYAL CANIN®. In alignment with the values of the Veterinary Green Discussion Forum, Royal Canin believes its commitment to pets extends beyond its tailored nutrition, and that it has a responsibility to deliver positive change for pets, people and the planet. Royal Canin’s global HQ are located in South of France, between Camargue and Montpellier sea shore, where biodiversity is recognised and where climate change is already having real impacts on the fragile ecosystems. The company is focused on lessening its carbon footprint and support Mars’ aim to cut GHG emissions 50% by 2030 across its value chain. Last year, Royal Canin started a new partnership with Soil Capital to support farmers and farming cooperatives to work towards climate smart agricultural practices. Today, the company is working with 220 farmers in its grains supply chains to implement regenerative farming practices across 46000 hectares of land. Also, as a core partner of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s (EMF) New Plastics Economy Initiative, and a signatory of its Global Commitment to eliminate plastic waste and pollution at its source, Royal Canin supports a circular economy where packaging never becomes waste.
