For more than 65 years, International Cat Care (iCatCare) has led global progress in feline health, welfare and clinical standards. Founded in 1958 as the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB), the organisation was established to address a critical gap in veterinary knowledge at a time when feline medicine was underdeveloped and cats were frequently managed as “small dogs.” Today, iCatCare is an international cat welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of cats—owned and unowned—through evidence-based veterinary education, welfare science, and collaborative global partnerships. Our vision is a world where every cat is understood and treated with compassion and respect.
