Guinea pigs are experts at hiding disease, meaning significant pathology can often be overlooked until they present seriously unwell. This webinar will explore some of the common but frequently missed or underdiagnosed conditions encountered in guinea pig practice, including kidney disease, hyperthyroidism and reproductive disease.
Using practical clinical examples, we’ll look at subtle presenting signs, important differentials, useful diagnostic approaches and common pitfalls in assessment and management. From dental and gastrointestinal disease to less obvious systemic conditions, the aim is to help clinicians look beyond the obvious, recognise disease earlier and improve outcomes for this often-underestimated species.
