This lecture is all about creating the understanding that assessing a patient's pain should be more than just obtaining a numerical score! Refresh your understanding of pain and the pain pathway, including the different types of pain and the factors that influence an individual patient's perception of pain. Build confidence in using a range of pain-scoring systems and recognising less obvious indicators of pain, alongside exploring analgesic options and developing effective, evidence-based multimodal analgesia plans.
