2018 will be a busy year for anyone working in employment law. In July 2017, the Supreme Court ruled that the introduction of Employment Tribunal fees in 2013 was unlawful. The introduction of fees witnessed a 79% reduction in Tribunal claims in the subsequent three year period. Following the Supreme Court ruling, the final quarter of 2017 saw an increase of over 100% in tribunal applications.
