Cancer patients that present to the emergency room can be intimidating to practitioners. This talk will provide and oncologist’s and criticalist’s approach to diagnosing and managing these patients. Practical tips for when to suspect cancer when a sick pet presents as an emergency and how to manage complications of cancer treatment will be provided. Case examples will be used to highlight important points.
