General practitioners are increasingly faced with clients seeking support for behavioural problems in their pets. It can be challenging to know where to start amidst the demands of a busy general practice. The behaviour and training fields are currently unregulated and veterinary surgeons have an important role in ensuring owners are proactively supported and directed to appropriate sources of help.
