- Remind practitioners of the risks for travelling dogs and the need to treat dogs before, during and after travel
- Build awareness of prevalence of ticks to vets in practice and the need to be talking about tick control with their clients
- Awareness of the need for tick protection for dogs throughout the UK
- Awareness of the presence of ticks on cats and initial results of the cat project
