Description

Head trauma in cats and dogs is a relatively common clinical emergency that can present in isolation or concurrence with systemic trauma. This session will address a brief practical pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury and then focus on how to examine these patients. The efficient evaluation of the patient will determine the type of therapy that should be instituted in addition to the patient's prognosis, both of which will also be discussed.
