Veterinary Green Discussion Forum
Bio
Anthony Chadwick started the Veterinary Green Discussion Forum in 2022, a unique conference for anybody interested in the future of the planet. The first three UK-based Veterinary Green Discussion Forums were held in Preston and then London. In 2025, the Forum turned international, taking place in South of France, with great success. There were many important discussions around sustainability, and time for networking and time spent in the natural world. The forum focuses on advancing sustainability within the veterinary profession. The event brings together a variety of veterinary professionals to share ideas, experiences, and actionable strategies for reducing the sector’s ecological footprint. Through a series of presentations, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions, participants explore a wide range of topics—from lowering carbon emissions in daily practice to adopting renewable energy, improving waste management, and sourcing sustainable products.
The forum highlights inspiring case studies of veterinary practices that successfully implement eco-friendly changes, demonstrating both environmental and financial benefits. Attendees examine the role of education and community engagement in driving positive change, as well as the importance of collaborative efforts between industry stakeholders. By the close of the event, delegates leave with a clearer vision of how veterinary professionals can be leaders in environmental stewardship, armed with practical tools and renewed motivation to create a greener, more sustainable future for animals, people, and the planet.
