Developed by Australian company QBiotics, Stelfonta is an injectable treatment for cancer in dogs. It works by being injected directly into the cancer cells and cutting off their blood supply, therefore leading to immediate cell/tumour destruction. This is a non surgical way to treat cancer in dogs which can be very effective like for example if the dog for any reason couldn't go under anaesthesia, or if the owner does not want their dog to go in for surgery. It's also very useful as it is fast acting as it is injected directly into the tumour. Approved for use in dogs in January 2020 in the European Union, it has helped over 20,000 dogs across the world.
