Bio
I started as a trainee Veterinary Nurse at a small animal practice in Surrey late 1991, and on qualifying, moved to Yorkshire working in a large mixed practice. In 1997, I won the Pedigree Pet Health Counsellor of the Year Bronze Award. I left as Head Nurse to have my first son and to also re-locate to Germany with my Forces husband.
Following a move to Devon and having had my second son, I started work at a two branch, small animal practice as a Nurse, VN Assessor and later became the Practice Manager.
Moving to the North West in 2002, I worked as a Nurse in a small animal practice, before becoming the VNAC Co-ordinator at Myerscough College. After four years there, I returned to practice as a part-time VN, which allowed me to spend more time with my boys.
I started working for Anthony Chadwick in 2007, initially as Nurse Manager, then as Practice Manager. During this time, The Webinar Vet was born. Once established, Anthony sold the practice and I remained with him as his Operations Manager. I organised CPD for Vets, Nurses and SQPs. In addition, I spent a day a month working in practice.
I set up Malex Consulting Ltd in November of 2016 to help small business with their online presence. I also locum as a Veterinary Nurse.
I am also President of the British Veterinary Nursing Association and Chair of the Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month Committee
