Susana Silva graduated from the University of Porto, Portugal, in 2001. After working in small animal practice, she undertook a small animal internship and was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine Certificate (CertSAM) in 2007. She completed residency training in small animal medicine at the University of Bristol in 2009 and was awarded the European Diploma in Veterinary Small Animal Medicine (DipECVIM-CA) in 2010. Since then, she has been working in private referral practice in the UK. She joined IDEXX as an internal medicine consultant in 2016. Susana is passionate about most subjects within internal medicine but has a special interest for haematology, respiratory medicine and gastroenterology.
