Bio
Although born in Kowloon, Hong Kong, the most populated portion of land per square metre on Earth, I quickly translocated to the open savanna planes of Zimbabwe, Africa, where I lived an idyllic life as an equine medicine clinician and lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe coupled with some private practice work. I was also the course veterinary officer at the Thoroughbred racecourse in Harare as well as veterinary advisor for a large veterinary drug company. My country, however, slowly turned into a social tragedy and economic disaster and I decided to move to New Zealand to take up the position as a senior equine medicine lecturer and clinician at Massey University. I am now also responsible for co-ordinating the teaching of veterinary professionalism and clinical skills teaching to undergraduate veterinary and veterinary tech students. My partner, Megan, is a lawyer, French teacher, dispute resolution mediator, management academic, master chef and organic farmer, My daughter Janis is interested in fashion, retail and marketing, while my son, Lenny is a cricket fanatic. We also have a huntaway dog called Chilli. I love them all.
