Bio
Stephanie graduated as a vet from the University of Berlin (FU), Germany in 2007. She started a combined residency/PhD programme in veterinary anatomic pathology and completed a PhD entitled “Characterization of porcine CLCA members with potential significance for cystic fibrosis” in 2012. She stayed at the university as postdoc, where she was involved in small and large animal pathology diagnostics, lecturing and research. She passed the European College of Veterinary Pathologist (ECVP) board exam in February 2014 and moved to the UK soon after that to start working for IDEXX, where she also held the position of Team Leader. After working for another commercial lab for a few years, she returned to IDEXX in August 2021. Stephanie has published two book chapters on “Urogenital tract tumours” and “Tumours of the exocrine pancreas”. Other main professional interests include dermatopathology and infectious diseases. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys climbing and hiking.
