Dr. Stewart received her D.V.M Degree from the University of Saskatchewan (Canada) in 2008, and completed her internal medicine residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2012. She spent three years in private specialty practice in San Francisco, followed by six years at the Royal Veterinary College as a Lecturer in Internal Medicine & Oncology. During her time at the RVC she was the co-chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Group, and has a special interest in antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Stewart now works as an international locum clinician in academic and private practice hospitals. She is a VIN Consultant in Urology & Nephrology, and Editor in Chief of the journal Topics in Companion Animal Medicine. She is passionate about medical oncology (with a special focus on oncology diagnostics, staging and lymphoproliferative neoplasia), infectious disease, gastroenterology, feline medicine, urology & nephrology and antimicrobial stewardship.
