Bio

Sam graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2007 spending six years in first opinion equine and farm animal practice.

While at veterinary school he gained a first class intercalated degree in veterinary pathology from the Royal Veterinary College and returned there in 2013 to begin his pathology residency and research fellowship.

During this period Sam was split between the RVC diagnostic services and APHA in Weybridge.
This broad training provided a range of experience with both domestic and farm animal species including a number of diverse research projects. He was awarded his FRCPath by examination in 2016 and gained his ACVP boards in the same year before joining Bridge.

Sam has recently taken over from Dr Tim Scase as director of the laboratory; his interests lie in the pathology of the upper respiratory tract, the gastrointestinal system and oncology
