Dr Sam Bowden graduated with his BVSc from University of Queensland. From the start, he had a gift for building revenue and profit. He grew a mixed animal practice from zero profit to $160,000 a year in three years. It was no fluke. In 2004, he bought another practice turning over $170,000 in a low socioeconomic region and built it into one of the fastest growing practices in Australia, achieving one of the highest profit margins for a vet practice in the southern hemisphere. He sold his practice for many multiples of what he paid and he now shares his practice building knowledge with other vets. His simple message is, ‘You CAN increase profit quickly without increasing your overheads, even in the toughest economic times WHEN YOU KNOW HOW’.
