Robert combines expertise in AI and computer vision with specialist skills in veterinary science, gained over years of hands-on veterinary experience as a European and RCVS-recognised specialist veterinary surgeon and as an assistant professor in computational biology. By focusing on developing computer vision AI algorithms to improve animal health and welfare Robert aims to provide practical and accessible tools for vets and animal owners to use. Robert uses computer vision AI to improve animal welfare across species in both academia and industry, as an Assistant Professor in Computational Biology at the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Science as well as co-founder and CTO of the computer vision company Vet Vision AI aiming to translate computer vision AI research into real world benefits for animal welfare.
