A recognised Official Veterinarian (OV) he is able to issue travel documentation. He is OV66 authorised. He holds the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (certAVP) in Small Animal Practice.
Richard has completed his British Animal Rescue and Trauma Care Association Awareness course which means he understands and will help to support animals when impacted by emergency or disaster, in line with the Civil Contingencies Act, and also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law, awarded by LJMU Law School. He is RECOVER certified in CPR.
He is an Approved Assessor for the Respiratory Function Grading Scheme which assesses Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs for BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome). He is a Fear-Free Certified Professional, having committed to offering science-based, behaviour-led strategies to prevent and reduce fear, anxiety and stress in pets, and is the practice Rabbit Advocate.
