Dr. Remil L. Galay is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Veterinary Paraclinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of the Philippines Los Baños. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2007 and his Doctor of Veterinary Science (PhD) degree from Yamaguchi University, Japan, in 2015. Dr. Galay has led several research projects dealing with molecular detection of various tick-borne pathogens in livestock and companion animals. He was recently recognized as an Outstanding Young Scientist by the National Academy of Science and Technology and Scientist 1 of the University of the Philippines.
