Bio

Professor Daniel Mills is an internationally recognised pioneer and authority in the fields of companion animal behaviour, cognition, and welfare. With more than three decades of research experience, he serves as the Professor of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine at the University of Lincoln, where he also leads the Animal Behaviour, Cognition and Welfare Research Group. Professor Mills holds the historic distinction of being the UK's first specialist in veterinary behavioural medicine to be formally recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. His profound impact on the scientific community is underscored by his inclusion in the top 1% of cited scientists globally, according to Stanford University's research database.
