Bio

Sharanne Raidal, BVSc, MVSt, PhD, GradDipEd, FANZCVS is a Professor of Equine Medicine at Charles Sturt University, Australia. She has worked in private equine practice, university clinics, research and teaching. Joining CSU in 2006, Sharanne completed specialist qualifications in Equine Medicine (FANZCVS) in 2009, and has worked in the Veterinary Clinical Centre at CSU since its opening in 2010. She has served as Associate Head of School (2017-2020), and on the Board of Examiners for the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Science since 2012, including as Assistant Chief Examiner (Exams) since 2018. She is Associate Editor of the Australian Veterinary Journal and has over 80 peer reviewed publications. Her research interests encompass veterinary education and equine medicine, with an emphasis on gastric ulceration, respiratory disease, neonatology and antimicrobial stewardship. She has published on the development of equine gastric ulceration and medical management of gastric ulceration in horses.
