Bio
Philip is a Principal Scientist at Moredun Research Institute, and has worked there for ~25 years on various aspects of sustainable control of helminth parasites (worms & fluke) in livestock. Philip's main research interests are in parasite diagnostics, detection in the environment, vaccination studies and the detection and management of anthelmintic resistance. He also has interests in the impact of climate change on helminth parasite epidemiology and the impact of endemic disease on the carbon footprint of livestock production. Philip is also the SEFARI (Scottish Environment, Food and Agriculture Research Institutes) Knowledge Exchange Sector Lead for Livestock.
