Bio

Dr Padrid’s research regarding the molecular mechanisms involved in human and feline asthma was NIH-supported for 10 years during his tenure at the University of Chicago (RO1 and program project). He is the author of greater than 80 peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in the fields of human and veterinary pulmonary medicine, including published manuscripts in the Journal of Immunology, British Journal of Pharmacology and American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, among others.

 

He is a past author of Respiratory Medicine for the Vet Clinics of North America and is acknowledged to be the first person in our profession to actively promote and research the use of inhaled medications to treat veterinary patients with respiratory disease. Phil was the original “official vet” of the NPR-based radio station Dogtalktheradioshow,
