Speaker bio page for Olivier Taeymans

Dr. Olivier Taeymans who became European specialist in diagnostic imaging (Dip ECVDI) in 2005, following a 1-year rotating internship and a 4-year residency training at Ghent University in Belgium. He defended his PhD on imaging of the neck at the same university in 2008, before moving to the USA where he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary medicine, Tufts University, Massachusetts. He promoted to Associate Professor in 2013, few months before leaving to work at Dick White Referrals, Cambridgeshire, UK where he headed the imaging department between 2015 and 2019. Under his lead, the department expanded to become the largest imaging department in private practice in the world. He left Dick White’s in 2021 to consult for VetsChoice Radiology. He is the director of quality control, a member of the medical advisory board and European Team Leader.

He has trained well over 20 new specialists since becoming a diplomate of the ECVDI and has hold several functions in this specialists’ College.

Dr. Taeymans is author or co-author of over 50 publications in international journals and authored several book chapters in different veterinary radiology textbooks.
