Oli Viner

Bio

Oli has extensive experience as a practising veterinary surgeon. He was a partner at a group of veterinary clinics in London until 2017, so has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those working within the profession. He has always had an interest in technology, tirelessly looking for ways to implement digital workflow efficiencies. In 2015 he founded VetBooker, an online booking system and client portal that later merged with VetHelpDirect, providing the foundation for Digital Practice — a leading communications platform for vets. Oli’s father was a vet and past president of the RCVS, and with a daughter who is keen to become a third generation vet, he is passionate about changing the profession for the better. On meeting co-founders James Lighton and Alessandro Guazzi, Oli recognised a shared passion and ambition for creating a new concept in veterinary care. Oli writes regularly for the Veterinary Business Journal and Vet Times. He graduated from The Royal Veterinary College (London) in 2007 and shares four children under 12 with his wife Lara, also a vet, alongside three cats, one labrador, two rats and a tortoise.
