Nicola graduated from the University of Bristol in 1999 and has spent over 25 years in the veterinary profession, building a career as both a small animal clinician and an experienced leader. She has held a number of senior roles, most recently serving as Hospital Director at Fitzpatrick Referrals, where she led large teams in a complex referral environment.
Passionate about people, leadership and the future of the profession, Nicola has a particular interest in the challenges faced within veterinary teams and how we can create healthier, more effective workplaces.
She is currently undertaking a full-time Master’s in the Psychology of Behaviour Change at the University of Surrey, deepening her understanding of why people behave the way they do and how meaningful, sustainable change can be achieved. Her interests include psychological safety, human factors, and applying behavioural science to support positive progress in the veterinary world.
