Bio
Natalia Strokowska is a small animal and exotic pet locum vet from Poland. She has international experience gained on five continents. She combines scientific career (she is currently finishing her doctorate at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, professional (locum work in various veterinary clinics across Great Britain and Scandinavia) and business (runs the Vetnolimits company providing educational services for the veterinary industry). She finished postgraduate studies in non-domesticated animal diseases and currently enrolled into a postgraduate course in psychology of leadership. Natalia currently works as a clinical director of a new small animal practice PetCare in Warsaw, Poland. She is passionate about positive leadership, wellness, clinical excellence, bond-related veterinary care and work-life integration in veterinary medicine.
The author of the Medical English for Veterinary Professionals course for vets and students who are thinking of pursuing their career abroad. She is a teacher and an experienced medical translator. Organizes conferences in the field of exotic animal medicine under the name Furry Vets. Co-author of the two-day "Social Media in Veterinary Medicine" exclusive training.
Mental health awareness advocate in veterinary profession in Poland. Together with her team ran a nationwide survey on professional and living satisfaction in veterinary surgeons and stress-coping techniques in veterinary students. Her latest project is "Wellness and well-being programme" - seminars for vets and students about stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, euthanasia, communication with difficult clients and passing the bad news.
