Bio

Merel Taal trained in the Netherlands at Utrecht University. Since then, she's had the pleasure of working mainly in the Irish Republic and the UK. She graduated in 2007 and after working many years as a locum Veterinary Surgeon she founded Dignipets in 2015 to offer in-home euthanasia to pet carers in her area. Working with pet carers and vet practices together to make end of life for a pet the best it can be is the most favourite part of her job. When she began my journey as a veterinarian, she was eager to do it all, with a particular passion for surgery. However, she soon realised that her true calling was in hospice care and end-of-life support. Additionally, she has the opportunity to assist fellow veterinarians in establishing their own practices, which has become a delightful aspect of building a successful brand.
