Bio

As Global Director of Sustainability at Mars Veterinary Health, Margo Mosher is working to implement more sustainable practices across the business. Margo supports Mars Veterinary Health's hospital businesses, including AniCura, Banfield, BluePearl, Linnaeus and VCA, to improve sustainability impacts across the areas of environment, people and pets.  Key focal areas of work within Mars Veterinary Health's sustainability efforts include climate change, waste and antimicrobial resistance, and developing approaches for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from anaesthesia and hospital practices, improving impacts from the procurement of medical supplies, reducing waste in hospitals, and developing educational materials for educating veterinarians on antimicrobial resistance. Margo is passionate about making pet ownership sustainable and building a sustainable future. Margo joins Mars Veterinary Health from the field of corporate sustainability consulting, where she worked for the past ten years at SustainAbility, Inc. and ERM. Margo has supported dozens of large, multi-national clients to develop their sustainability strategies that drive impactful change across a breadth of issues such as climate change, human rights, sustainable sourcing, and health and wellbeing. Margo received her Master of Environmental Management at Yale School of the Environment. Margo is a proud pet parent to her rabbit, Hooper.
