Luke grew up in Sydney and his journey into veterinary care began when he completed his Veterinary Science degree with first-class honours at the University of Sydney in 2003. Moving to Wollongong, just south of Sydney in 2004, he became part of the Wollongong Veterinary Hospital group, which later merged into Greencross Vets. Luke honed his leadership skills, managing several vet hospitals across the Illawarra as Veterinary Director from 2011 until 2024. In 2025, Luke opened the Coastal Vet Collective, an exciting new venture.
His passion for small animal medicine led him to pursue advanced education, earning his membership with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2011. He also holds qualifications in management and training and loves mentoring colleagues and new veterinarians.
Luke’s personal life is as busy as his professional one. Living in Wollongong with his wife Karli and their children, they share their home with two dogs, a cat and two chickens.
Luke enjoys staying active, with a particular love for running, swimming, and watching sports including his beloved Liverpool FC that he discovered a passion for when travelling and working in the UK in 2006.
