Bio
Dr. Khris Agassandian was born and raised in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. He received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Armenian Veterinary Institute, where he also served as President of the Student Scientific Organization. Shortly after his graduation, Dr. Agassandian also received his Doctoral degree in neurobiology.Prior to Pet Preferred Diagnostics, Dr. Agassandian was involved in biomedical research in Europe, University of Iowa and University of Pittsburgh. He was the founder and director of the Electron Microscopy Laboratory at the Armenian Academy of Sciences. He also established and co-directed the Neuroscience Core Facility at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Agassandian’s experience also includes serving as director of a human diagnostic laboratory in Alpharetta, Georgia. He has several National and International awards for research and business achievements, as well as publications in scientific journals such as Nature Neuroscience, Nature Medicine, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Agassandian invented and validated several new technics for veterinary diagnostics.
Dr. Agassandian lives with his wife Marianna, French bulldog Roma and cat Poncheek. He enjoys taking care of his saltwater aquarium, playing tennis, as well as attending classical and jazz concerts.
