Katie Mantell is Chief Executive Officer of RCVS Knowledge, a charity with a mission to advance the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public and society. Prior to joining RCVS Knowledge, Katie worked in human healthcare, specialising in communications around health policy, research and innovation. Her previous roles include leading communications for The King’s Fund health thinktank, leading engagement for UCLPartners health innovation partnership and working as a science journalist. Katie has a keen interest in charity leadership and governance, having held trustee and committee roles at St George’s Hospital Charity and the Mental Health Foundation. With a degree in Human Sciences, and as a lifelong animal- and nature-lover, Katie is particularly fascinated by the interconnections between animal, human and environmental health and the role of animals in our society.
