Bio

Dr. Karen Shenoy assumed her current role as Vice President and Chief Veterinarian for Hill’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in April 2025. Joining Hill’s in 2008, she brings extensive industry experience, having advanced through positions of increasing responsibility leading commercial and professional teams at Hill’s and most recently serving as Chief Veterinary Officer for Hill’s US. Along with her 12 year old daughter, husband, 3 dogs and 2 guinea pigs, she relocated to Basel, Switzerland for her current role. As a family, they are greatly enjoying the opportunity to explore all that Switzerland has to offer and to travel throughout the region. Dr. Shenoy also has extensive clinical experience having spent time in small animal clinical practice and working fulltime in wildlife rehabilitation medicine. Additionally, she has teaching experience having served as part-time adjunct faculty with a veterinary technology program. With a passion for developing future leaders and strong commitment to advancing the veterinary profession, Dr. Shenoy has served in leadership and volunteer positions with many industry organizations: American Veterinary Medical Association, Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition, Veterinary Innovation Council, Board of Chief Veterinary Medical Officers, American Corporate Partners, and Women in Leadership and Management in Animal Health. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Vet AI and is a member of the European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition.
