Bio

Julia graduated from the University of Montreal in 2013 in Quebec, Canada. The following year, she went on and did a 1 year internship specialized in equine surgery at a busy referral practice in Ontario Canada, treating mainly Standardbred and Thoroughbred racehorses. In 2014, she undertook a 3 year surgical residency focusing solely on equine surgery as well as a masters program, back at the University of Montreal. Her main area of research is centered on the equine stifle, more specifically the meniscal injuries and their contribution to joint disease. Julia is a clinical assistant professor of equine surgery at the University of Nottingham and recently achieved diplomate status of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons for large animal surgery.
