Dr. Julia Montgomery is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Oklahoma State University, USA, and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her research program focuses on clinically applied research in equine internal medicine (equine asthma, equine metabolic syndrome) and equine rehabilitation; with a special focus on innovative technologies for the advancement of equine health and well-being. Dr. Montgomery received her veterinary degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany, and holds a PhD from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Canada. She completed her Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at the Atlantic Veterinary College, UPEI, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Specialty of Large Aanimal Iinternal Medicien (DACVIM-LAIM).
