Bio
John Lynch is an environmental scientist and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford, interested in the impacts of agricultural production, including how these are estimated and the policy tools to report and reduce them. His current research focuses on the climate impacts of agriculture, particularly livestock production. He uses simple climate models and an alternative application of the GWP metric, GWP*, that provides a framework for equating different gases by considering changes in the rate of short-lived gases as equivalent to one-off releases of long-lived GHGs.
