Jeremy is a dedicated veterinary professional with a passion for both animal care and environmental sustainability. He graduated with honours from Melbourne University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. In 1998, Jeremy established the Brimbank Vet Clinic, a small animal practice in suburban Melbourne, which has since become a leader in environmentally sustainable veterinary practices. In 2011, he oversaw the rebuilding of Brimbank Vet Clinic, incorporating the latest environmental design features. His commitment to sustainability was further recognised in 2021 when Brimbank Vet Clinic became the first vet clinic in Australia to be registered carbon neutral on the Australian Government Climate Active register. He has been a member of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the discipline of small animal surgery since 2013. In 2020, Jeremy joined Vets for Climate Action to amplify the role that veterinary teams can play in motivating our community to take urgent action on climate change. As a founding contributor, he helped develop the Climate Care Program for Veterinary Practices and currently serves as the Chair of the Vets for Climate Action Climate Care Program Advisory Committee. He has also pursued further education in sustainability, completing micro-credential courses at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. In 2023, Jeremy co-authored "The Path to Net Zero Carbon Emissions for Veterinary Practice" published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he was honoured with the Veterinary Business Thought Leader Award 2025 by the Australian Veterinary Association's Veterinary Business Group.
