Bio

Ivan graduated from the faculty of veterinary medicine at Trakia university, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria in 2009. After working a few years as a general practitioner vet, he moved to the United Kingdom in 2014 to pursue further training. Ivan gained BSAVA postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery, whilst working as an intern at Fitzpatrick referrals in 2018. This was followed by a surgical residency at Fitzpatrick referrals orthopaedics and neurology and AURA Veterinary, which he completed in 2022. In February 2023 Ivan became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has worked at referral hospitals in the south and Midlands. Ivan teaches nationally and internationally and is an external lecturer at University of Surrey Vet School. Currently he works as independent consultant and veterinary educator.
