Bio

Heidi Radke is a Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Cambridge. She  runs, as European and Royal College specialist, a busy referral and resident and student teaching clinic in small animal orthopaedics at the University’s Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital.

Heidi’s clinical responsibilities include all aspects of orthopaedics in dogs and cats, with a particular interest in joint surgery including minimal invasive techniques like arthroscopy, and she gets excited about the management of complicated trauma and angular limb deformity cases. Heidi’s research interests include decision making in canine elbow dysplasia and assessment of outcomes after small animal orthopaedic procedures,

Having studied and worked at a variety of universities in Munich, Zurich, Georgia, Texas and Bern before joining Cambridge University in 2006, Heidi is interested in an international outlook of veterinary education and orthopaedics.
