Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of
Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2006.
In 2009 she did an internship in surgery at the Clinic for Surgery and
Gynecology in Small Animals at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at LudwigMaximilians-Universitaet LMU Munich. After her internship, she was invited
to stay on as an assistant veterinary surgeon for a year.
After this year, in 2011 she began her PhD in Neurology at the Clinic of Small
Animal Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at LudwigMaximilians-Universitaet LMU Munich, which she completed in 2015.
She worked in several leading hospitals in Portugal from 2015 to 2019,
providing consultation in the areas of orthopaedics and neurology.
From 2016 to 2020, she was an Invited Assistant Professor on the Veterinary
Nursing degree course at the Escola Superior Agrária of the Polytechnic
Institute of Viana do Castelo. From 2016 to 2019, she was also coordinator of
the Veterinary Nursing degree course.
Since 2021, she has been an Invited Assistant Professor on the Integrated
Master's programme in Veterinary Medicine at the Abel Salazar Institute of
Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto.
She is the CEO and founder of Vetexpertise, a pioneering company in the field
of veterinary teleconsultation and telemedicine, responsible for creating the
Vetexpertise digital platform and the Wisevet Live app.
