Bio

Dr. Emily Coffey graduated with an English Literature degree from Northwestern University before attending veterinary school at North Carolina State University. Following this, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University and then a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Coffey's professional interests include companion animal infectious diseases, host-pathogen interactions, and the relationship between genetics and immune health. Post-residency, she undertook a one-year research fellowship in immunogenetics and is currently working on a PhD focused on the urinary microbiome in dogs and cats.
