Bio

Head of Clinical Pathology, NationWide Laboratories Stacey graduated from the University of Bristol in 1993 and completed a residency in equine internal medicine at the University of Liverpool, where she also earned a PhD in equine neurology. Her doctoral research focused on trigeminal neuralgia and headshaking in horses and involved collaboration with Dr. Derek Knottenbelt and neurosurgeon Paul Eldridge at The Walton Hospital, Liverpool. She joined NationWide Laboratories in 2003 as a clinical pathologist and has remained dedicated to the discipline throughout her career. Stacey holds both a Diploma and Fellowship from the Royal College of Pathologists and has contributed to veterinary publications and CPD events. She now leads the department as Head of Clinical Pathology, providing diagnostic expertise and supporting veterinary teams through education, research, and result interpretation across a wide variety of species.
