Dr Amy has followed her fathers footsteps to become a veterinarian. She has been mentored and trained by colleagues across the globe including Australia, UK, Hong Kong and USA. In 2008 Amy started her specialist training at SASH as a Small Animal Medicine Resident. She has published or been a co-author in >10 publications, trained multiple residents and received several awards from colleagues for her research, and publications. Amy is married to a wonderful veterinary radiologist - Dr Richard Lam. She has worked in both Australia and the UK. Amy worked world leading veterinary referral hospitals, a veterinary pathology company, performed research and attended clinics at the Royal Veterinary College and has a wide range of knowledge and skills to apply to her application of being a Fellow of the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and as registered Specialist in Small Animal Medicine. |
Amy enjoys the challenge of the complexity of internal medicine cases. She particularly enjoys infectious disease, endocrinology and immune mediated disease, and putting all the clues together of those tough cases. Amy currently practices at SASH Vets in Sydney, and is proud to be a part of a growing team providing quality care for pets. She also understands the limitations in veterinary care, and wants to empower you to understand how you can best serve the patients under your care.
