Bio

I am a qualified registered veterinary nurse in the UK. I started nursing in 1998 and spent 8 years working in general practice before leaving to go traveling. In 2006 I joined Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists which is a multi-disciplinary referral centre where I ran the soft tissue theatre before moving into the anaesthesia department where I was the lead anaesthesia nurse. I now work as an Anaesthesia Nurse at Fitzpatrick Referrals. I achieved my VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) status in Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2013 and worked on the AVTAA Credentials Committee between 2014 and 2021. I was also a member of the BSAVA congress programme committee for 3 years. I have spoken at both BSAVA and BVNA national conferences and regional CPD events. I run my own small CPD company Synergy CPD which provides tailored in-house and virtual training in all areas of anaesthesia, analgesia and CPR, I have a particular passion for feline anaesthesia and analgesia. I enjoy travelling whenever I can especially to photograph wildlife.
