Claire completed a degree in Zoology at the University of Reading and a Masters in Animal Behaviour at the University of Exeter before attending the University of Edinburgh Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies where she qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2012. Claire worked in mixed and small animal veterinary practice until becoming the Feline Scholar at the University of Bristol, where she went on to complete her PhD on the implementation of quality of life assessments of dogs in veterinary practice. Claire joined Cats Protection as Postdoctoral Feline Welfare Researcher in 2023, with a current focus on population studies.
