Chris is People Services Advisor looking after absence and wellbeing at Vets Now, the leading provider of emergency veterinary care in the UK. With over a decade of HR experience in the financial and telecommunications sectors, Chris joined Vets Now in August 2020, during the Covid pandemic. Specialising in mental health and employee engagement, Chris ensures that Vets Now has the relevant support in place for its 1700 employees and acts as a point of contact for line managers to support their teams as best as possible. He’s passionate about diversity and inclusion and advocates the importance of promoting a culture of health and wellbeing, fostering a better working environment for colleagues but also understanding that a healthier workforce makes the veterinary profession thrive. He’s been at the forefront of a number of initiatives to support Vets Now teams, including providing access to mental health support through Simply Health, the benefits platform which connects employees to financial support and the menopauses support package which Vets Now launched in 2022.
