Dr. Andria Beal holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Florida International University, where her research explored epigenetic mechanisms in sharks and dolphins with the goal of developing novel tools for conservation. She began her career in population genetics and expanded into RNA and gene expression studies during her Master’s program.
Following her doctoral work, Dr. Beal founded EpiPaws, a company pioneering epigenetic testing for pets. EpiPaws is advancing a robust R&D pipeline focused on novel diagnostics to improve animal health and longevity. In addition to her research and entrepreneurial work, Dr. Beal is dedicated to mentoring future scientists by offering undergraduate students hands-on research opportunities in her lab.
