Aiden trained as a veterinary dermatologist and is a honorary member of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology. He has substantial experience of publishing including editing journals and books; including the journal Veterinary Dermatology. He is the editor of the book Deer Veterinary Medicine. He has worked in livestock disease surveillance in the UK, with a particular focus on deer. He is past-president of the British Deer Veterinary Association (https://bdva.co.uk/ ).
